What is C21 Gives?

The purpose of C21 Gives is to provide an opportunity for the Century 21 System contribute financial donations to C21 colleagues within the U.S. in support of large-scale disaster relief and the personal needs of affiliated individuals and their communities served. C21 Gives will be an ongoing donation opportunity for the C21 System that will allow the foundation to lend its support (with quick turnaround) to meet the needs of our affiliates throughout the country.

What is the immediate focus of C21 Gives at this time?

To kick these efforts off, C21 Gives has partnered with Easterseals to directly support both CENTURY 21 affiliated brokers, their agents, as well asEasterseals in markets impacted by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.With your support, we can help restore the lives of over 150 Century 21 affiliated companies and countless members of the communities they serve from the devastations caused by these natural disasters.The purpose of the CENTURY 21 Gives Fund at Eastersealsis to provide financial assistance and aid (“Hurricane Relief Funds”) to CENTURY 21 affiliated brokers and agents and their household members, particularly those living with disabilities or who have served in the UnitedStates military, with their most urgent emergency personal needs immediately following disasters caused by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.Hurricane Relief Funds are gifts, not loans, awarded to eligible applicants with immediate needs.

How will our money be spent?

The use of Hurricane Relief Funds is limited to meeting disaster victims’ most urgent and vital emergency personal needs immediately following Hurricane Harvey or Hurricane Irma. Hurricane Relief Funds are not intended for long-term needs such as rebuilding homes and buildings or replacing household and personal belongings. Hurricane Relief Funds cannot be used to replace lost income.

Hurricane Relief Funds are not intended for replacement of business property, business supplies, staff salary, or any other business expense. Hurricane Relief Funds must be used to address reasonable and necessary personal, family, living, or funeral expenses incurred as a result of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.Reasonable and necessary expenses that qualify include:

  • Food
  • Bottled water
  • Clothing
  • Blankets
  • Medicine and medical supplies
  • Emergency shelter and
  • Toiletries

Affiliates who want to donate have two options once they reach the landing page:

  1. Donate to “C21 Gives” to directly support C21 affiliates in impacted areas, OR
  2. Donate to Easterseals local chapters in those impacted communities.

There will be a 2.6% online credit card transaction fee -other than that all proceeds will go to the opportunity you choose to support

What are the eligibility requirements?

Any CENTURY 21 affiliated broker or agent who is a victim of Hurricanes Harvey or Irma may apply to the CENTURY 21 Gives Fund at Eastersealsfor Hurricane Relief Funds if he or she is currently residing in the United States or its territories. CENTURY 21 affiliated brokers and agents and their household members living with a disability or who have served in the United States military will be given particular preference consistent with Easterseals’ charitable mission, but all CENTURY 21 affiliated brokers and agents needing assistance are encouraged to apply

How much money are applicants eligible for? How many applicants can receive?

The Hurricane Relief Funds for any applicant will be contingent on the dollars raised. The total dollar amount and number of gifts awarded will depend on the number of applicants and the amount of Hurricane Relief Funds available at any given time. The final decision regarding the number, timing, and amount awarded is solely within the purview of the CENTURY 21 Gives Fund at Easterseals Application Committee, which is comprised of Easterseals and CENTURY 21 representatives.Hurricane Relief Funds shall be awarded only once per applicant per disaster.

How does the application process work?

This application must be completed by the applicant. Since the purpose of the Hurricane Relief Funds is to give a measure of immediate and necessary assistance, all requests must be made by November 15, 2017.  Those persons awarded Hurricane Relief Funds will be selected no later than December 1, 2017, and funds will be delivered no later than December 15, 2017. This time may be extended at the discretion of the Application Committee. Future awards may also be delivered on a monthly basis, contingent upon funds raised and applications received.
